Never trust a hippie Posted February 6, 2010 Share Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) My computer's been crashing pretty regularly for a long time now, I dont know where to start looking as far as hardware or whatever. Im so sick of it. It did the same thing in Vista 32bit but now i run win7 64. No blue screen, just freezes or goes blank and most of the time the fan go on very high and doesnt turn off unless i reset it. Happens mostly in game, but im in game a lot. Any tips? heres my specs: ram power graphics HD mobo processor cpu cooler dvd drive sound card even the case G9 and G15 shouldnt matter right.. specs Drivers are all up to date, please help! Dr.jiggles Posted February 6, 2010 Share Posted February 6, 2010 The computer should offer reasons/fixes to your problems might want to have a proffesional come and check it out or post it in toms hardware where they offer a lot of help, could be a faulty psu or your cpu is getting to hot. This is what it looked like PICTURE I did a search on eventid.net and this is what I got. http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=41&eventno=9230&source=Kernel-Power&phase=1 Does anybody know what this means? The most relevant thing a guy had on a forum about this was the power supply and a problem with communication with it and the mobo, he got a new PS and said it fixed it. Cr(+)sshair Posted February 7, 2010 Share Posted February 7, 2010 Yeah, the major cause of system lockups without blue screen is overheating. If it was the PSU, you'd know it because the comp would power on for 3 secs then quit. Be sure to use Dust Off on tha bitch too! Dust insulates the case and can also be the cause.
