Proxies?

Question!

So... At school, we have a web filter, and you can bypass it through proxies.

Is there a way to make it so firefox can run through a proxy?

I started using foxyproxy, but I didnt get to far. There was also something about telling the computer how the filter blocks stuff so it can automatically find a proxy to connect to.

If I'm just smoking crack, its ok, I just want to know if there is anyone out there more knowledgeable than myself.

here is how you get around this...mmmmk?

Setup VNC, either real VNC or ultra VNC.

Forward the ports to your computer.

Download the VNC viewer to a thumb drive to take to school with you.

Remote into your home computer with VNC....surf to your hearts content.

Win!!!

Yeah, but they can't look at my computer!

I installed linux on that and they don't even know I have the computer because I haven't registered it yet. So screw them!

and thanks for the .info site, it works.

I still would like to know how to get the other method working though...

Tor consists of multiple programs working as one. And for Tor to work on Firefox, you'll need the Torbutton add-on.

But I can believe that Tor can be used on a Flash Drive.

Yes, they have a package that is a precompiled firefox, with torbutton and the GUI app. It's a gem I tell you.

The only problem with TOR is that it's SLOW.
