No shooting into crowds

To be honest, im not sure what you are saying.

Get rid of the rule? as in, let the CT shoot a stack of Ts because one T was rebelling in it? I highly doubt it...

Enforce it? Thats what we have admins for mate, I always see them slay people for shooting into crowds...

:/ confuzzled

He's is trying to say that there is no point in this rule, and I agree. I haven't seen one admin slay someone for shooting into a crowd unless they themselves are badly hit, either admins enforce the rules or there isn't much point in having it.

Think about it, what difference would the rule make if it were to be taken out, you still can't freekill; therefore if you miss the rebeller and freekill someone you'll still slay yourself. Seems familiar?

Mistakes happen. When there is a rebel in a crowd you try to disperse the crowd and kill the rebel. If you don't do anything it ruins the game because they'll just rebel and get away with it. So you get a good shot on the guy in the crowd and try to take him out.

Sometimes you miss. It's really not a huge deal. If you're still alive and playing, there's no reason to punish someone who was trying to make the game run smoothly.

The problem is, in the past week or so, CTs have started having the T's crouch to the bottom of cell staircase and freeze. They sit there and wait for 30 second - 1 minute for T's to jump out of the crowd or stick their heads out so that they can kill them, which is fine. The problem with this is after they land, people think they have a shot and shoot into the crowd at the guys head... AWPs go through skulls.

-We do have a rule against it but he's saying it isn't enforced strongly enough, I think.

Well, I don't purposely have them wait so damned long there, but there are problems with them sitting there spamming their mics off, or the CT's (other than the Lead CT), which has the effect of orders being delayed until everyone can just "shut up!".

But, yes, I do see a few crowd shooters that really tick me off (some people apologize, but have done it 4-5 times in a single week....why apologize when you think you're going to do it again?../anger!). When there's a USP in the group, I order them "unstack, freeze, and face cells...you have 5sec!", it gets the gun guy out of the crowd without chance of crowd shooting mass FKing.

i tend to hit the wrong person more when they are spread out. when they are in a bundle i pretty must never miss, but i aim very very carefully, even with an m4. But i never take more than 1 shot at a time if i use the m4.

I guess.. the person should use their own judgement to whether they can make the shot or not, but im sure a lot of people will be overconfident. Maybe if someone starts to show they cant make those shots and always kill the wrong people, then they shouldnt be allowed to try to make those shots. Its about the same as freekilling, just have to remember who has done it too many times.

I think the rule should stay, because technically, getting the right kill is not shooting "INTO" the crowd, because its impossible to not hit someone else if you actually shoot into it. The way to get the right kill is to shoot what ever part of the rebel you can see sticking out of the crowd. Actually shooting into the crowd is bad.
