Mouse Jitter

Wingless

I've half decided to stop being lazy and do something about this. Does anyone else have a Razer mouse (Mamba excluded) that has jitter issues? I can't decide if it's a problem with the mouse itself (firmware, driver, etc.) or if I just need a different mouse pad. I've been through quite a few pads already, but I they've all been cloth. I'm thinking of getting one that's pretty much frictionless and see if that helps any.

Signed,

Wish I could AWP properly again.

I've got the Razer Naga with the Razer Megasoma soft mouse mat. These work like a charm together and I couldn't of asked for something better, thankfully I don't have any issues with them.

Do you still have guarantee, its really easy to get the product registered and I think its 2 years guarantee after purchase.

Guarantee:

Razer Wired Mice -----------------------2 years

Razer Mamba and Razer Orochi ---- 2 years

Razer Mamba Battery ----------------- 6 months

Warranty Link

Product Registration Link

I hope I helped.

If you tell me the name of mouse you have I might be able to help you a bit more :)

By "combination of a hard and soft mat", does that mean it's made of silicon, cloth or silicone and cloth? As an experiment, I'll probably grab a 5 dollar slick mat next time I'm at Walmart just to test with.

According to the site it was constructed from highly durable translucent silicone.

Finally someone with the same problem as me, my Razer Lachesis doesnt register/jitters on wood, glass, my gaming mat, and any soft/really smooth surface. It really likes messed up surfaces like with bumps and stuff. I really dont understand. So the problem with the lazer not registering has gotten to the point where my mat didnt work so i used my desks surfaces, and now that wont work and i have to use a catalog book D:

supposedly razer mouses work best on razer mats, but their mats are overpriced.

Could be as simple as a problem with any material with dimples in it. Cloth/non-smooth rubber or silicon. I have a Razer cloth mat and it's still shit.

I have the Deathadder, and it works perfectly fine for me. I've never used a mousepad because i hate them, i just use it on my desk top. Maybe you need to reinstall the drivers for it, maybe that would help. Or you could also try adjusting the sensitivity and DPI settings.

maybe sometimes you need to clean the laser point under the mouse....sometimes it gets dirt in there and it cant see hte pad fully and it starts to jump around really weird.

I got a lot of it cleared up. A disadvantage of having the optics recessed inside the mouse was that I had to fire up the air compressor and blow out the inside of the mouse. Runs a lot more smoothly. Sounds like there needs to be a door that pops off so one could run a q-tip through there.

OMG, I'm so glad your brought this up!

I've got this problem with my Razer Lachesis, It just jumps all over the screen now and again, I usally just reset it 100 times, or give in and play another game.

I think the Mamba was the only mouse with an actual physical problem. Might try snaking a pipe cleaner or crushing a q-tip and cleaning out what you can.
