Wingless
I have a hard time believing that cookies simply existing will cause lag of any sort. Are you talking frame lag or network latency? Also, nobody except for you will be able to view that support ticket. Probably unrelated, but you really need to stop using Internet Explorer unless you enjoy clearing up malicious script and viruses.

Guest The_Monkey
I'm sick and feel like I'm dying...but your logic makes me want to commit suicide. Your cookies have absolutely nothing to do with your game. Those cookies only store information about the steam community that you automatically log into when steam starts. They have absolutely nothing to do with the game...NOTHING. Install some anti-malware scanners like spybot search and destroy, and run it. I guarantee you have something else in the background causing the issues. Also, give us your system specs: Operating System: CPU: RAM: Make/Model of your system/or custom built:

I usually run Spybot S&D, Adaware and Malwarebytes Anti Malware whenever I have to triage a computer and bring it back to health. Performance issues are usually caused by a hungry program eating your resources or a virus/malware.

Vetman
Clifford, theres this magical button inside of your user settings, go to start > control panel > internet options, and you should find a button that says delete, click it and then click - check the box that says delete cookies. MAGICAL ISNT IT!
bort
your Trend Micro is a bit over-protective if it is labeling cookies as hamful. Cookies are text files, they can never contain a virus. The worst a cookie can do is store some personal info (only info that you, yourself provided to a website). i have a theory that maybe the lag is due to your trend micro scanning tons and tons of cookies and eating CPU power. i would suggest uninstalling it and trying an alternative such as: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html Thank you for donating, but you do not have to donate in order for people to reply to your questions. Also, if you are against cookies, you can disable them. P.S. firefox and chrome are better than IE, but that's just my opinion which is completely based on fact
