FukLife
So who else had a Shitty day all in all today? Let me tell you what happen to me. Okay so I wake up out of bed an I start getting ready for work I go to make a sandwich and drop the mayo on the kitchen floor had to clean all that mess up. I then tend to get in my car and head to work when then I forgot my damn wallet at home, but said heck with it and just went to work anyways. I get to work and climb up a 80 Foot camera tower for filming the horse races. When I get to the top my bag that I have had my food, and a book, and etc in it for work ripped and all my shit fell to the bottom of the tower. So I climb back down the tower and get my things organized and knowing I only had 3 minutes before the 1st race climb that tower so fast. Next thing I know i'm waking up with my head in the tower my feet sticking out of the door in the tower and my boss yelling on our scanner for me. I get up and catch my breath and try saying I'm fine. I passed out for 3 minutes far as we figured up. I have bad asthma and It got to me from climbing the tower. I then barfed 5 times into a store bad as well from it all happening. So how did your guys day go compared to this crappy of a day!?

Prius
Today, I was walking down the hallway when someone opened a door, smashing it into me. The bump makes it look like I have a third boob.
Wingless
Every day is just as miserable as the last. At least my office building hasn't crumbled down on my head. That would suck.

c00k1em0nst3r
I had to deal with a bipolar manic depressive mother all day. i.e. constant yelling like babysitting a 5 year old.. & bowled a freaking 84 and an 80 when I went bowling today. That was HORRIBADD. I usually bowl 130-180..
vandium
Went to the courthouse yesterday for a ticket I got...40 miles away from my house. It was the last day before it went to warrant.... Well as of October 5th...they started closing on Fridays....but the ticket still says open mon-fri... And the fucking ticket said the 19th, which was Friday....was the last day. Not to mention...it was was a speeding ticket for 70 in a 60...going with the flow of traffic....WHO FUCKING TICKETS THAT?! Then my dads dog killed my moms dog....... Then my neighbor had a leak and it started coming through my ceiling.... Then I busted in my own face by accident.... But I also am getting a promotion and a raise....so it evens out.... I am steadily losing respect for law enforcement though. I feel like I have to sell my car, so I don't get harassed...I hate people.

Wingless
Not to mention...it was was a speeding ticket for 70 in a 60...going with the flow of traffic....WHO FUCKING TICKETS THAT?! Everyone that isn't on a call and has radar outfitted in their car. Especially if your car happens to be obnoxious in some way. The only easier stop for pretext is for defective equipment. BTW - Radar/Lidar is accurate +/- 2 mph while moving and +/- 1 mph stationary. So you're pretty much pushing it any time you're over 6. General rule is no, you can't see the radar console and no you can't look at the calibration logs, it's an officer safety issue. They'll bring them with them to court if you want to contest. Related - You're probably better off mailing your tickets if you're going to plead nolo contendere or call and see if they'll extend your warrant date if have to go see them. He was at the bottom of a hill, and I saw him standing behind his car radaring. I only let off the gas, because I was not doing anything ridiculous. He was waiting at a highway change area, where the speed limit changes from 65 to 60. He was about 2 miles into that highway. Its a nice car, but I have left it completely stock. ('06 Infinity G35) I tend to do deferred/defensive driving on the tickets, so they don't go on my insurance. They actually require me in person to do this. (for deferred) I saw I was going 70...but I didn't even brake...because I figured he was after people going 75-80+. He was real rude...then they do this bullshit with them being closed on fridays...for 5 months... But the ticket still says 5 days a week, and the final day being friday... I am going to ask for a trial, because I have felt disrespected from the beginning. I should not have had to drive 80 miles for nothing. They assume that I have a nice car, so I am getting daddys money, or that I am an ego driven younger guy in a nice car. I am going to wait a couple of days to go, and I hope they say something to me...this is totally unprofessional for law enforcement. And lately, I have been losing respect for them as well. Tickets have become a source of income, and not used for their intended purpose. To deter you from speeding or breaking the law...

It also helps if the exchange is recorded, and not all agencies can afford cameras. My feeling (without being there) is he was looking for people that are "Stupid enough to pass the Trooper" as the old saying goes. 10 over isn't 20 over, but it's still an egregious violation. You get cites to fix broken tail lights, you get cites for swinging outside of your lane when turning (this is actually really, really dangerous) and you get cites for speeding. All of these are the operator's fault as far as the court is concerned.

And he sighed, and got rude, "I told you, you were going 70 in a 60...so sign here." It was fucking ridiculous, treating me like I was putting people in danger or being an ass. I was going with traffic. And I just asked, because who knows if he added any other violations to it, and he is telling me to sign something that I have no clue what I am signing. Ridiculous. p.s. Sorry for the thread hijack. Edited March 20, 2010 by vandium
Wingless
Yeah. When he came back to my car, he said sign here. I asked him what I was signing. Most agencies have damn near a canned response when they're handing out citations to make sure you're aware that the court info is on the back, you have 10 days to respond, etc. to keep them out of court. You might have a case there. Maybe. Protip - When you sign at the bottom of the ticket, it's just an acknowledgement that you will appear in court to discuss the listed items. You can't contest anything on the citation until your court date. If you don't sign, you're going to jail. So it really didn't matter either way if you read it.
