I know what types of motors terry lets see theirs a starter motor, windshield wiper motor, power mirror motor, power windows.

There are how ever 2 standard engines they put in the escalade. Theirs vortec 5300 and 8100. depending if its a 1500 or 2500.

Dude, it has a 6.2 liter V8. Anyway if you want to haul get a Chevy Tahoe. Escalades are meant for luxury purposes. AND THE ESCALADE COMES IN ONLY ONE MODEL. THERES NO 1500 OR 2500. GET UR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Terry,

I think that's the 2nd gen Escalade. The 3rd gen model my dad has, it has a 6.2 L. The fuel economy isn't so bad for the engine size. It's like 14/20. THe hybrid gets 21/22. But who gets a hybrid Escalade.

Yep, I'm aware of that. It's the L92, aka LS3, AKA 6.2L, aka L99 (camaro only). It's the first gen IV motor from cheby and was the first to not use cathedral ports on the heads/intake.

Guy's are making 425+ rwhp which intake/exhaust and 475+rwhp with just cam swaps. The heads/intake are amazing. I know a little bit about them ;)

Like I said, I was trying to keep things simple, but thanks for the info!

P.S. Just looked up the "hybrid" gen iv motor, it says its a " Vortec 6000 LFA is a Generation IV small block V8 truck engine" I know absolutely nothing about that motor, lol.

Ya, I know it's weird, the hybrid one. But anyway, I love the ride in the Escalade. It's pretty smooth for such a big car. He hasn't had any quality problems besides one of the headlights stopped working, but that happens on all cars. He has had to have the transmission replaced on the Excursion, that was back in '08 but otherwise no problems besides the radio not working in 05'. But that truck looks nice, it's a good pick.

Definitely punched part of my suspension this weekend trying to get the pug off of the oil pan. You mechanics and your air tools making my maintenance complicated. Pretty much going to have to replace that after I had to vice grip it loose.

I don't use air tools on drain plugs that's just asking for trouble!
