A few of us from HeLLsGamers have been playing a game in beta testing called Heroes of Newerth. For those of you that have played Warcraft 3, you have probably heard of DotA. Horoes of Newerth is a game based on the DotA mod for Warcraft 3. You can read all about it and even sign up for a free open beta account at http://www.HeroesOfNewerth.com

We have been having 3v3 games and we're hoping to get enough people in HeLLsGamers to play so we can have some 5v5 matches.

League of legends is a stupid easy no/o/b game. Hon takes skill which is why the community is so competitive and hateful towards new people, so if you don't like being e-bullied then don't play. Some russian guy today told me he was gonna kill my family and fuck my mum. Unfortunately someone on here is going to tell me that they've already fucked my mum though.

buy your heroes? What are you talking about?

What he means is that for LoL it has, each week, 7 random Champions unlocked and available for players to use for that week. However, for players to have a champion available to be complete unlocked at any time they've got to spend points that are earned through game wins in order to purchase that champion to own. Then, there's the Riot Points that you can purchase (at 7/11 and other places) that allows you to directly purchase champions as well as unique skins and so on.

Seems like another world of warcraft trading card type deal, they find consumer zombies and exploit the fuck out of them. I prefer games that are balanced and dont give advantages to players that spend all of their money on trading cards

Well, it's a free to play game, so they've got to make money some way and they do it by their store system. It's not as bad as you'd think, and they do sell a normal boxed version for $30 that has some 12+ Champions, a lot of Riot points, and a few of the rare skins in it. And, the champions are not any stronger bought than those that are provided for free, they're all pretty balanced to be played. Plus, again, they can all be bought with earned in-game points rather than the Riot points so there's really no "advantage" to using real money other than the unique skins (like the Olympic skins that came out during the Winter Olympics).

is it MMORPG?

or is it just 1v1 2v2 3v3....etc?

Heroes of Newerth? or League of Legends? Because neither are MMORPGs. They're more RTS without the base building, or the multi-unit control....well, without the strategy.

I guess they're in their own genre called "LMG" (Lane Management Game). The goal is to get to the end of the other team's lane(s) and destroy their buildings and their main base building to win. Demigod has the most advanced graphics and their Godshave the biggest character advancement trees of these games, but the game had a bad launch because pirates pretty much crash it's server network in the beginning.

League of Legends: 3vs3, 5vs5

Heroes of Newerth: 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5,

Demigod: 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5

I'm unsure about HoN, but I think Demigod might be the only one of them that has an advanced AI that takes over disconnected players or can be placed in a game for general sakes.

Firstly.. I hope THIS isn't your thread

And secondly.. How can you say it's without the strategy lol? If you have a good team to play with who always talk and stuff then you've got your strat right there :push:
