I AM Your Reason Posted April 5, 2010 Share Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) I'm looking for a good barebones Laptop Kit that I can case mod. I'm making a ChromeBook for Google's OS. It needs to be light and thin, preferably with a 10-13" screen. I'm looking for Atom and nVidia 9400M (ION) support. It should not include a CPU, graphics card, RAM, a WLAN card, or a hard drive unless all of those components fall into the categories I already listed. It should have everything else a computer needs. Anyone know where I can find such a bird? I know it's not really commonplace to build laptops, or to find laptop parts on the Internet, but I want to try. Instead of a hard drive, I'm going to hook it up with a single 16 GB flash memory chip that will hold the OS (Chrome OS is stateless) and 1 GB of ram. I hope I can add in a webcam and a microphone to make this a half-decent netbook based on Google's new OS. Anyone?
