Yep I broke my Headset, It cost freakin' $40 bucks.

It's called the Gigaware Premium USB Stereo headset. Waste of money since the mic isn't that great and the wires keep tangling to knots. and when I pulled the wire it fuckin broke.

So if you see someone in-game who looks like they shouldn't be playing the game and they just look retarded that would probably be me :)

P.S Nobody buy this crappy headset

Anything branded by radioshack is ass.

Logitech G35.

I bought it for full retail when it first came out but I heard it's gone down a hell of a lot.

If you want to stay with USB then definitely go with the g35 or the Steelseries 5H v2 USB edition.

Or you can get a mac and it has a built in microphone. Only downside is that setting up CS:S will be a bitch and since you have to scream at the top of your lungs to be heard...everyone in the neighbor will think someone is being murdered. But I think the benefits outweigh the cost.

I have a Logitech USB binaural. Then again, I don't really find the pads on it comfortable enough for long periods of wear, so it's usually around my neck with the mic pointed up.

The sound quality is pretty solid, though. My pet peeve for VOIP is people with bad/miscalibrated mics that would sound perfectly fine if there wasn't a diesel engine running in the background, owning the bass range.
