Slayer
I have gotten a couple emails now from steam saying due to security issues I MUST verify my email. The first time the link was broken or something like that but I still got an email saying thank u for verifying ur email. Well i went into my email again tonight and I got a other email saying I must verify, I clicked the link and i got that redpage saying get me out of here due to phishing or malware i still clicked the link and it brought me into some spam stuff contest well i checked my email a few mins later and i still got an email verifying it this is the second this has happened i was just wondering if they r being hacked or wats going on. Ive also sent two emails to them and havent heard any response. Just looking for some advice or some answers why this is happening. Thank you. Siphaed
Some advice: FULL HEADER For Yahoo.com email, click that in the lower right-hand corner of the email. This will show exactly WHO the email is from and usually it's very easy to tell, when a redirect shows something like a Hotmail or Yahoo or whatever else, that the email is NOT from Steam/Valve itself. Other than that, usually you should see signs that the email isn't from a legit company (misspelling, bad signature *companies usually say who the emails from with a proper signature sign off*, or multiple links in the email to random stuff). As for if you've gotten screwed out of your account and you possibly might have gotten taken from it, you need to contact Valve/Steam directly by phone (it's on their OFFICIAL site). From there, tell them that you got a sketchy phishing email and ask if they can alert you if there's any questionable activity on your account in the next couple of days or weeks. Also, change your account password and make sure you have a backup copy of EVERY one of your game's registration numbers so that you can verify that it is your account encase it does get stolen. Good luck.

Wingless
I ignore EVERY piece of correspondence I get from companies that provide services to me, or people that are pretending to be said companies. You can always ask support, but when in doubt, delete it.
Lt. Awesome
If you don't believe it, the go to the top left and do; steam>settings then, look at your email.
Dirty
i hope you did not enter your login info and yes it's a fake steam email.... steam never sends emails like that you can only verify your email using the steam client in settings
