Gracefail<3
Safari Link. Firefox Link. Chrome Link. Internet Exploder *er.. Explorer* Link. Opera Link. In this discussion, We will debate between which browser has most overall security, speed, and compatibility. You must give at least three reasons and support on why your choice of browser deserves the title of 'Best browser.' Please do not post in this thread if you mean to cause trouble/flame against others opinions. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Global's choice of Browser is.. Firefox. 1. I like the addon features, Giving the community a chance to improve on the amazing browser that has given Firefox the hype it deserves. 2. The speed! I love how the combination of security and style never interfere with the general speed of the browser, I do understand that this browser may not be the fastest, but I believe that It is a great contender with Chrome. 3. Security is a must in any browser. Firefox gives a great, cozy feeling for anyone who uses it. Most addons such as 'No Script', 'No Adware', 'WOT - Internet Security', and 'Lastpass' give Firefox a giant thumbs up. Congrats if you read all of that, Most will read the heading and skip everything I just typed. <:/ Edited April 14, 2010 by Gracefail<

Guest The_Monkey
I don't care wtf browser you use, as long as it isn't IE and was made within the last year. If you use IE....I hope you get lots of porn viruses and key loggers.
Waffle<3
I have always used Chrome from day 1 of its beta testing, and damn I love it! Its getting better and better all the time with new features. Oh and I love when I am just browsing and when I come upon a page with some type of hazard, it automatically shoots me to a new screen to warn me and give me the appropriate options. I also have used Firefox and love them both.
Kamps
I am not sure if you guys now this, BUT IE has come a long way, they are now on the top for internet security... Now this being said I use Firefox: I run many Operating systems, Firefox isn't picky about that stuff I have an Opeth Theme to it.... BADASS! Link Addons are nice, I use Adblock Plus, Download Status Bar and No Script, Pop Ups = None! Open Sourced, I LOVE OPEN SOURCE!!!
Wingless
I think it's a wash between Firefox and Chrome. They're both comperable when it comes to speed and memory usage, though Chrome usually edges FF out. Firefox has extensions going for it right now, but Chrome also has greasemonkey support, so it will be up and coming in that respect as well. At the moment, this is pretty much how it breaks down for me: I use Chrome for day-to-day browsing on all of my workstations. I use Firefox with Noscript, etc. loaded if I need to do something questionable. I use IE (or an embedded version of it) for a few sites that I have to, including a few intranet sites at work and Sharepoint. Guest The_Monkey
I am not sure if you guys now this, BUT IE has come a long way, they are now on the top for internet security... Please, do us a favor and turn your computer off. You now have a new title of "Tinkerer". I will have someone add it to your title when I get a chance. IE has come a long way, in IE terms. However, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind everyone else. IE is still THE MOST INSECURE UP TO DATE BROWSER IN EXISTENCE. I have high hopes for IE9, but we shall see. As far as the most secure, currently it is Chrome. Not just because of its sandboxing features, but it also has a lower market saturation when compared to Firefox. Give it time and it will be Firefox and Chrome neck and neck for best security. Also, from a web apps programmer view...I f'ing hate you for vouching for IE. You really don't understand how raged I am by reading your misinformation. I really want to take your computer and bash it in Office Space style. You rank up there with grandmothers who just got their first computer when it comes to internet smarts if you vouch for IE in that way. I hope your whole family dies in a mud slide. Never trust a hippie
Firefox is best for security I heard, so thats what I use. Chrome is faster on my shitty laptop Inspriron 5150<-- still works amazingly With Mcafee and Malewarebytes running I've never had any security issues. Kiri-Jolith
Personally, I'm using chrome and prefer it to Firefox. Firefox is good and all because it is a fairly secure web browser if you have the right add-on's and everything, but anymore it loads so slow that it's stupid. Chrome on the other hand loads fairly fast, has a very good phishing detection system built into it, and it takes up less memory to run that Firefox does. Guest The_Monkey
When it comes to speed in browsers, the beta of Chrome is the fastest, followed by Opera. For a reference chart on how fast your browser is, use Futuremarks Peacekeeper. Here is the link to the charts.
