Q-tips are bad

Q-tips aren't bad as long as you do it right...DO IT RIGHT...

Doctor's and guides tell you not to use Q-tips, because there isn't a good reason to use them. Our ear wax is supposed to be there. If you keep taking it out you end up irritating your ear canal, and end up producing even more ear wax.

Our ear wax is soft, and almost liquidy at times unless there is an extreme build up or blockage. If you end up with another blockage of some sorts, use warm liquid (water or oil, baby oil is best as it really softens ear wax really well) in your ears to soften the wax, then rinse with water, then alcohol (to dry out the excess water). If you seem to always have an issue with ear wax build up (such as wearing a headset all the time), you can put a drop of baby oil in each ear every day in order to lubricate your ear canal, and keep your ear wax off. Then you can use a Q-tip to swab the exterior of your ear to remove noticeably excess ear wax.

This, however, is quite different if you are of middle to eastern asia descent, being that the ear wax that is produced in their ears tends to be much more harder. There are special tools designed to remove hardened ear wax that should only be used by a doctor. However, the same rules apply. Use baby oil to keep your ear wax soft and moist.

In extreme cases, high pressure liquid or air has been used to remove blockages. While our ear drum is resilient, this is dangerous, and only should be done as a last resort.

Sooo.... With that being said, how would you recommend cleaning your ears?

With a broken glass shard covered in fire ants.

But seriously, did you not even read my post above?
