FukLife
Hey guys I use aim instant messenger to talk to a few family members that live out of state. For some reason all of a sudden I can not see what anyone says to me or see what I type to them. I tryed reinstalling the application and deleteing the folder several times. anyone have any ideas? Moto
see if there is another client that supports AIM service until you are able to get AIM in order. or just fully switch to another client. Pidgin is a multi-IM application available. Was originally made for Linux but ported to Win32. (this one I have used before) Also consider Trillian. Moto
Np. Keep in mind these are alternatives to the actual AIM client. They can serve fine till your installation of AIM is repaired. Otherwise, these could be long term solutions which can cater to multiple services being used in one central location. Let us know how it goes

Wingless
Try using the chat app inside of gmail. It integrates with AIM, is portable, and also logs the contents of your conversations for you.
c00k1em0nst3r
I personally like Meebo. It connects you to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and facebook
fdh
Are you uninstalling/deleting aim and then reinstalling without restarting?
