Should I buy Left 4 Dead 2?

Well, I heard that L4D 2 can be fun at times and it seems decent. When I logged on Steam today I saw that there was the new campaign, "The Passing" for L4D 2 and that it was 33% off until Monday.

So should I purchase this gory zombie game or not? I mean it was $30 and now it's $20.09, or what alternatives do I have?

I mean, I barely play L4D since the story kind of ended for me and there are less multi-player matches going around, ever since the sequel came out.

i personally didn't think there was a huge difference between the second one and the first one enough to make me buy it when i played the demo. play the demo, see what you think.

L4D2 is the biggest scam ever. Valve is dead to me (or at least in critical condition ). EA is partly to blame, me thinks. But if you enjoyed L4D, then go for it, only because L4D1 is dieing.

Well the demo just offered me new weapons, campaigns that are similar and the overall schematics is a bit more fun. Though it's not that far off from the first. I seriously have no idea lol. It's either L4D 2 for me now or maybe Garry's Mod?

hey vodka. i own almost 100 games on steam. and have my go around with games. honestly being the gamer I am I would say No UNLESS u have a lot of friends who play it and you know how to mod with friends. other then that its a pointless game to buy. i only play unless my friends are on. its one of those games u do with a group and not with so much as random strangers u know?

It's almost May. The game has been out since November. Consider that this game will last until this up coming November when Portal 2 comes out and everyone jumps into that.

 

Also, if you have the old one (Left4Dead original), then I really wouldn't bother. Besides the bile bomb and a few new weapons, it's practically the same game.

It all depends on your taste of games. I myself love L4D2 and prefer it over L4D. If you like L4D you should invest the money and get the game, but as many have said. Download the demo and THEN buy the game if you like it.

$20 bucks? Damn, you should buy it! L4D2 is WAYY better than the first one(and L4D1 was still really good!)! It's much funner when you have Chargers, Jockeys, and Spitters.

 

It's not "basically the same as the first", it's MUCH better. Plus, with The Passing out, you're gonna at LEAST get about 150% more bang for your buck.

The price went down to 30 bucks or something like that. I think there's also a sale right now that offers it for 20. Pretty decent price, but honestly I don't think the game is worth it.
