Balance Changes

 

PROTOSS

Forge

Build time increased from 35 to 45.

Life and shield values decreased from 550/550 to 400/400.

Mothership

Vortex now removes Force Fields within its area of effect.

TERRAN

Thor

Radius decreased from 1.375 to 0.8125.

Model size reduced to match new radius.

ZERG

Roach

Supply count increased from 1 to 2.

User Interface

Several Hotkey changes have been made (German client only).

Bug Fixes

Fixed a crash which sometimes occurred when quitting the program.

Indifferent about protoss.

Thor size decrease is more of a mobility buff than anything unless you use thors for blocking or something stupid like that.

Roach supply increase is just plain stupid.

I kind of agree D3N. Roaches are countered by any race as long as you spot it well enough. Marauders have 2 supply and are the extreme hard counter to Roaches, Immortals are the super counter and take like 4 supply.

Let's talk theory.

I'm Zerg v Terran. If I want to make roaches, I now have to spend extra minerals on overlords to keep population. If they are making marauders, I some how have to come up with even more resources in order to make enough overlords to out number the terran.

Hellion/siege tanks

 

Oh wait, what's that? Now both of my t1 units have no real use past 5 or so minutes? My only options are hydras, mutas, and/or infestors you say?

 

Next, I hope roaches cost 50 gas and 100 minerals.

Roaches still have practical application, it's just costly to rush a base with them early game, which I assume was the idea behind the change. You might be able to get away with it with a fairly fast expansion. We'll have to see how it works in game.

 

If you think about it, all of the tier 1.1 (1.5. Whatever) units have a two supply cost now.
