I was personally gonna get the g500 because I heard the g9 isn't comfortable in the hand but shit dude, that's pretty cheap so i might swing it. But maybe that's why it's on sale, big and bulky, awkwardly placed buttons is what I hear about it. But i'm still tempted. I have seen nothing as far as complaints for the MX, but does it have the ratchet spin/ smooth spin function for the wheel? And on the other hand, I've seen hardly any complaints for the G500, and in some reviews said it was a great upgrade from the MX.
