Milkanater123
I have a GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 and it took a shit on me so i cant really play games like MW2 or bad company 2 because of that. Can anyone tell me where i can find a good graphics card and a new processor for a reasonable price?
Wingless
Newegg. Always Newegg. They always have something in the neighborhood of what you want for a decent price. Beats the hell out of brick and mortar 98% of the time.
Vetman
First, you have to take into consideration what you are going to play. In 2008-2009 Crysis was the benchmark for graphics, if you could run Crysis with normal graphics, you could run anything. Expect some more games like Crysis; Battlefield Bad Company 2 runs with medium graphics, and high fps on my machine. I have a GT 220 (Very similar to the 9800 GT) Newegg. Always Newegg. They always have something in the neighborhood of what you want for a decent price. Beats the hell out of brick and mortar 98% of the time. Like Wingless said, always check Newegg for hardware FIRST. If you cannot find anything on newegg go to the manufacturers website. Here are a few considerably good GFX cards: Newegg.com - MSI R5750-MD1G Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1145-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card Here are some manufacturers EVGA | Intelligent Innovation GIGABYTE - Upgrade Your Life MSI Portal – Computer, laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD

Siphaed
EVGA FTW. I don't trust EVGA. They hang way too much with Intel and GeForce (nVidia). PNY is a good brand for Geforce style cards, had one card still working for over 4-5 years (almost 6, actually), and another card working for 6 years. Both running great, no problems, no cooling issues, nada. As for the Radeon (ATI), some of the best rated ones are Sapphire and XFX. But, I've never used Radeon, honestly, so I don't know on that part.

Plus their 90-day upgrade shit is the bomb. If you buy a card and there's a new one that comes out, you can return your unopened box for the new one. They will even replace/fix bent pins by user mistake! I know some of the techs there and all I can say is A+++++++++++++++++++++++. You're probably talking crap because you never bought anything from them nor needed support. Check the EVGA vs XXX charts...EVGA kicks all ass, plus their cards are designed for O/Cing. Their customer service and warranties are only comparable by XFX for ATI imo, I'm currently running an ATI 5870 and holy shit is this this amazing. expensive though so maybe a 4 series is more your line. do NOT grab the 5890, the drivers on it are garbage. but i brand wise i would go with EVGA for nvidia cards and XFX for ati cards, sapphire is ok too but like terry said in a post i made, don't get their vapor cooling mumbo jumbo
Koth
whats a reasonable price?
Cr(+)sshair
Look up performance charts and see the games you play in them and which has the highest, that'd give you an idea of what your price range for a good card will be.
Cefdinir
If I were you I would go ahead and upgrade the motherboard along with the GPU and CPU. If you are looking for the best bang for the buck I would go with an AM3 socket motherboard with either an AMD 700 or AMD 800 series northbridge. Brands to go with are ASUS and Gigabyte for AMD boards. For the CPU the Phenom II 's is where the performance is but if you are on a budget the Athlon II 's will suit you well. Graphic card performance is not going to vary much between manufacturers. Like mentioned above, EVGA is good with Nvidia GPUs and XFX is good with ATi cards. One thing to look for is some manufacturers such as BFG Tech and XFX are offering lifetime warrenties. Hope that helps.
Cr(+)sshair
Never go ASUS! You're SOL if you receive a DOA or you fuck up. Asus has one of the WORST customer services known in the biz.
Cefdinir
I still have a ASUS A8N5X socket 939 board from 2005 that is still going strong. Mind you that this is a back up computer and it also stays on 24/7. If you take more than 30 days (newegg's policy) to return a DOA board then that's a personal problem. DOAs are going to happen whether you like it or not. Luck of the draw. Edited May 17, 2010 by Cefdinir

DarkHelmet
The XFX 5770 HD card is a good card ( big though ). It's not over priced and will run BC2 on high with no issues at all.

RetiredTacos
So everyone is listing video cards when cleary, the "video card" is onboard video for his motherboard. I'm assuming his motherboard has gone bad, there is a 1% chance that the CPU has gone "bad" So basically he needs a new motherboard and/or video card. Am I wrong? Prospekt
I haven't read any of the above comments from people, but I have a PNY Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 1gig and it runs everything with no problem (BC2/MW2....). And it was only 130 bucks, so i thought it was a good deal. Try NewEgg.com
