Wingless
Impressions? My take from the footage is that it was going to be a slower GTA4 with a more serious plot and repeater rifles. Where's the fun in horsejacking? Also, I don't like the ragdolls they used. It always irritated me when westerns would have people flying 6 feet back after being hit with a pistol slug. I could be wrong, though.

Which while it didn't turn out "bad", it just wasn't the quality I was expecting from Rockstar.

Or someone here plays it and decides to share with us. Meanies. Also - I hear nothing but good on Twitter about Alan Wake. Well, mostly it's talk of being creeped out by the game, but that's golden in my book.

I'll give everyone my quick opinion of the game since I've been playing this game for awhile since it came out and am around 65% done with it so i think i can give a brief review on the game. Red dead redemption is pretty much what was discussed in this thread so far, its a slow smaller GTA that is still very pretty and very fun, however there are the physics and ragdoll deaths that you and me wingless were a bit iffy on, well I have to say we nailed it on the head with the "hitman" style deaths as some of the deaths are ridiculous. I hit a man in the head with a throwing knife and for some reason the physics engine decided to shoot him about 3 feet back into a crate, there are also a lot of physics glitches in the game itself, but thats to be expected with big games like this. I tried using a stone wall for cover and it decided to shoot me about 30 feet into the air, and then i fell to my death. this happened about 3 times so far during key points of the story, death isn't a big penalty in the game thankfully but it is a big time consumer having to restart certain parts. The story is solid, the world events are solid, the guns and graphics are solid, but there is some rust under the hood. The multiplayer is horrible(except for free roam) due to severe unbalances and shotty cover systems. on multiple occasions i was behind cover and a friend would be able to shoot through the cover and kill me, while in reverse rolls it would not kill him, with the same gun as well. game is still REALLY REALLY FUN and i plan on inviting everyone to a HG posse soon but be expectant of a few disappointments. oh and there's a guy who is love with a horse.
