2010 - BP ship explosion spills oil into the sea. Shortly after, a floating platform is created to assist with the cleanup.

2012 - Terrorists seize the facility and threaten to destroy it. Attempts to retake the facility will fail. For unknown reasons, an explosion will raze the facility and it will crash into the coastline. Details will never be released to the public, citing national security.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it an oil rig facility that exploded, not a "ship"? And they're basically using the same platform facility that's now disconnected from the oil well to now launch attempts (which have failed) to plug up the well that is gushing millions of gallons of oil into the coast?

Also, the 2012 thing, it is very far fetched. I mean, I'd expect that kind of thing, if it did happen, to occur far sooner rather than that later (especially considering the escalation of pirating events within the Gulf Coast as well as African Coast over the past few years and months).

.....but what do I know....:drankbeer:

^ the above makes a lot of sense IMO. What's with the prediction that this "terrorist attack" will happen in 2012? Just curious about that......
