MOTD Issue ^_^

I think the other point of it was a CT can walk through an unsuspecting T to get somewhere and its not really baiting.

If you constantly stand around Ts or try to get them to knife you, its then baiting.

I don't get where anyone is confused, knife at your own risk, stay out of T designated areas.

Yeah, people still complain when they get killed by turning red. If someone is baiting, he should be slayed, if you knife him, your rebelling.

if CTs bait a t then an ADMIN is to slay that CT or asks him to stop, that doesnt frucking mean you are to stab him.

(proof of these rulebreakers can be reported on forums)

Thank you. I still don't understand why people can't grasp the MOTD.

As a T we don't want to. If a t doesn't pay attention the t dies. If a ct doesn't pay attention the t dies. It is now a lose lose situation for the t. It took out half the fun of being a t. The fun being dry knifing to a destination and catching a ct not paying attention. While not being "realistic" it was fun to be able to kill a ct and not be able to be killed back.

This is why it should be more cleverly stated in the motd so that people that notice this like myself dont have an issue..

ALL OF YOU FOR THE FRIKKING LOVE OF GOD >>>>>>>> RED DOES NOT EQUAL DEAD.

If ANY OF YOU have read the MOTD you would REALIZE THIS.

So the problem is not fixed, currently people just assume that if you knife you are to be killed, if this is the case then the motd should be changed to accommodate that!

Summary of what has been figured out:

-A lot of people haven't read the motd recently

-Red doesn't equal dead

-the motd currently says T's can do it but they are rebelers if they do.

-people who get told to read the motd by admins that don't understand it themselves end up with issues with that admin

-All admin and staff should realize that the motd changes daily, but they don't, and then they don't know what the motd actually says.

Solutions:

-Re-add the red = dead rule to the server, if not then that argument is completely removed from this discussion

-Fix the issue with who can kill and when.

-Allow T's to kill baiters

or

-Allow CT's to bait

-Require admins to know the MOTD at all times.

Simply assessing the issues with these three quick and easy solutions would be a lot easier then having to teach every new comer to the server that it is assumed that red = dead and that knifing is always at your own risk even if they bait and it says that they are not allowed to do this.

MOTD is ALWAYS the truth, word of mouth things such as red = dead is NOT the truth, don't believe it if it isn't in writing.

PS - After reading through the entire motd once again today, there is still nothing of red = dead.

OK, but the people that join the server now still dont know that until they read this specific forum thread.. useless.. The MOTD is still flawed, and what he said was again only verbal rules, not posted rules so you can't actually say that that is legitimate, so the motd still has to be changed.

  • 2 weeks later...

Look. It's pretty simple. CT's cannot bait. They will be slayed. You still cannot knife CT's (unless it's Zombie Freeday, Astronaut Dog Day, etc.). This rule was given so that CT's can see what T has knifed CT's so that CT's do not FK T's. Unless Lead CT says not to kill a red T, Red therefore = Dead. It's not complicated guys.

Why can't we be friends? Trust admins to do what they are suppose to do and slay baiters. If you knife them you are a rebel. If you are a rebel you will be shot. If you are shot and killed you are dead. Wait 3 mins and play again. Why the problems. It's 3 mins. :)

What do you mean they don't know this? The MOTD is self explanatory. MOTD goes over everybodys word. Knifing a CT is at your own risk. The only way to turn red is by knifing someone or throwing a smoke at a ct. (A Smoke grenade is the same as a regular nade, it still hurts them so your rebelling) Red = Dead.

Think about how this can connect to the real world Law.

Say someone kills your friend.

You want revenge so you go out there and kill that someone.

You are going to get in trouble for being a vigilante.

Just let the authority handle it.

In this case the authority are the admins.
