the only reason they made the 4g was to add video, and fix a few things like the new screens. the main reason for the whole 4.0 update was to try to get jailbreakers to stop cracking their firmware because they know it isnt good already. people who crack apple's firmware will just have the jailbreak in like, two weeks after public release.

well, aside from whatever youre talking about with the network (because thats not apple, thats the service provider), bill gates generally cant buy out apple at its current state. reason being is that he would be creating a monopoly, which is illegal in the united states, along with many other developed countries.

I'm still deciding between the Droid phone that's coming to AT&T or the iphone 4.

It's tied, new iPhone is definitely lookin' pretty nice.

Screen's beautiful. Phone is a bit more snappy. Video calls. Marginally improved OS. It's not bad from a hardware perspective.

There, I just admitted that Apple is doing decent things in some regards.

(Get an Android phone. Screw AT&T.)

It has video calling and flash for the camera now and could shoot HD video of your own. This is going to be one of the best phone out there. Will be worth buying.

Except my phone shoots 720×480 at 20 frames or higher, and has a flash on the camera. So, more or less, they've caught up with other phones in the market and added something new that is in the works to be mainstream anyway.

I don't see a huge improvement on the device, just some hardware updates and a lot of fanfare. I give it some credit, but it's not a "magical device".

After getting the iphone, I realized how little I give a shit about all the millions of cool apps, and other features. I no longer use my iPhone as an iPod, because I have far more music than I the phone has room for.

I'm most likely going to get the iphone 4, the droid is amazing and all, I really enjoy the multi touch feature that android has yet to master.

maybe once it gets to level three, it'll learn that ability.

Multitouch is there in core functionality... 2.1 and newer, I think. Gestures aren't there if that's your thing. Pinch and jazz works pretty well in the times I've used it instead of autoresize. 2.2 added some multitouch candy to the 3d gallery.

Maybe not as good, but it's certainly there in all of your core apps.

Also, I know you're sick of AT&T.

Apple just seems to take ideas from other companies and give a snazzy layout and name, and over hype it. Like the movie recording. Big fucking whoop. There's many apps out there that allow it.

I lol'd, because they accuse companies of stealing their ideas when they're typically just commonplace tech that they think they invented. Anyone ever heard of a company called Palm in the 90s? lol.

AT&T sucks, sorry clark.

I've dropped over 10 calls in a 3g area in the past 2 weeks.

Seriously?

If Apple didn't tie themselves to AT&T, and if they changed their app market policies a bit, Android wouldn't be gaining the kind of ground it is against them. It'd probably still be another niche Open Source product.

iPhone = waste of money. besides during the presentation the Network overloaded and shutdown. Due to his crappy network, im surprised bill gates hasn't taken over and destroyed apple by now.

Inb4 you realize Bill Gates retired.

The problem at the presentation wasn't with the 3G network, it was with the wifi. I'm getting a 32 GB White one. Time to upgrade from my 3G. Btw, they didn't add video, they added video chat. Video was added on the iPhone 3GS when it was released last year.
