Woudnt they report to this site if they got hacked?

True , I don't understand why they don't come here and tell us, at least private chat on of us.

AND I don't understand why people keep typing their user name and password on a website that someone sent them WAKE UP GUYS WTF ??? so stupid.

You don't always have to enter your information, sometimes just visiting the website unsecured is enough.

How a hijack works:

You click on a malicious link.

A program is auto-downloaded in the smallest size so you don't notice (keylogger.trojan)

The program will clear you registry of your steam password.

Next time you open steam up, you will be prompted to enter your password as normal.

Anything you type WILL be sent to the hijacker.

The lesson here is to, well, keep steam auto-passworded. If you ever see that the auto password isn't there, disconnect from the internet fully, run a spyware/virus scan or enter your password while offline then re enable your internet and log in.
