I wouldn't get wow just because of the month to month cost cause I can buy 3 gallons if gas and a 5 dollar footlong meal. But............ I have considered it many times

I can give you some tips though. I've found that the fastest way to do 1 - 60 with recruit a friend is to grab all the quest chains that tie in with instances. Run the instance over and over until you complete all the quests in the chain. Once you don't have any more quests for that instance, or you're no longer getting good exp, move on to the next instance. Doing this method will keep you guys up to par gear-wise, as well as get you fast levels.

I've done 1 - 60 in one day using that method, but I had a level 70 running us through everything. If you can't find a higher level to run you through, it'll probably take you 2-3 days depending on how much you play.

Small side note: I'd suggest you figure out what you want your professions to be and grab them as soon as you can (level 10). You'll thank yourself later if you level professions as you level your character, instead of hitting 80 and trying to power them 1 - 450.

Some sites you might want to bookmark:

1. http://www.wowwiki.com/Portal:Main - Pretty much like Wikipedia, but for world of warcraft. This site contains a lot of information about specific classes, races, professions, etc.

2. http://www.wowhead.com/ - Similar to wowwiki, but with a little different approach. Here you can search specifics like items, drop rates, quest locations, etc.

3. http://thottbot.com/?f=q - Can't find a good place to quest for your level? Here's your answer. Just look up the area you want to quest in, and it will show you all the quests for that area along with the start and ending locations and an explanation on how to do them. This will also show quests for certain dungeons (like I advised you do to up there ^).

4. http://elitistjerks.com/forums.php - Want to know how to play your class better? Not sure what gems you should be using? Not sure what spec is best for your class to maximize damage (or healing, or threat, etc)? This site contains discussion for all of those things and more.

5. http://www.tankspot.com/forum.php - This is a site geared (no pun intended) towards discussion on tanking. I personally used this when I played and found it quite helpful. Even if you don't plan on playing a tank class, there is quite a bit of useful information here. Here is their youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ciderhelm?blend=1&ob=4 NOTE: You'll have to scroll down through their videos to find the ones that are guides.

Anyways, I hope all that helps you. WoW is a great game, just take it in moderation. :)
