Street Lethal
My computer sucks and CSS crashes. It has the looping sound to "cannot read memory error" to hl2.exe fail to crash. I've updated video card drivers and sound card drivers and reinstalled steam. I know I probably have to upgrade something but we'll see. PLEASE DON'T LAUGH AT COMPUTER SPECS. Pentium 4 Processor 2.99 GHz 1.00 GB RAM (I think Corsair) Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT SigmaTel Audio Driver [integrated - or something like that] 80 GB Internal Harddrive No clue about motherboard but I don't think that's an issue. Everything else I have no idea, but this desktop is falling apart. Got it in 2004 and only upgraded the video card about a few years back. It came with an ATI x300 lol. Which I upgraded to an ATI x800. And now the 8600 GT. Either way I fail at computers help!

You should get 4gb of ram. 2gb is suitable too but in a few years it will be outdated.

Amokov
The only thing I noticed was; only one processor? I cry for you. Your RAM is definitely rather small, try to upgrade it. You may also be short on physical memory, get an external HD and send up all non-frequented files onto the external HD.
General Red
Computer specs look fine to me personally. If you want to upgrade its always an option, but your proly better off making a new build. Try reinstalling the java like said earlier. I recommend a full OS resintallation. I ran a p4 with css just fine for a few weeks, and it had a 6800gt.
