Never trust a hippie
So I recently got married, it was a small wedding with just immediate family and close friends. One of the good things about it is getting some gifts/money. All my friends gave me like $200 each which is cool because we put everyone up in a hotel for the night after the wedding and the $200 from them pretty much covered their own rooms. One of my best friends (who recently hasn't been around since he got a new gf) wrote me a check for 200 but I just got the mail and there was a letter from the bank. It had a copy of the check and a little letter saying it bounced and I had already paid them $10 for it. The kid is definately one of the most unorganized kids I ever saw and I guess I half expected that to happen but it is kinda gay. tldr; wedding check from friend bounced

I Love Lamp
I think the proper etiquette in this situation would be to politely let him know that he needs to check his available funds. Wedding gifts, while gifts, are usually considered a customary exchange for any expenses covered (room, reception meal, etc) because no couple want's to start their married life in debt. I would recommend simply sending a letter saying that check accidentally bounced and ask him if he would like the cancelled check back. That should give him a chance to save some face without you demanding a direct payout.

He is a check-bouncing gift-giver. 2) Lamp has had this done to him before. Which means he's married. Wait what?

But the winner is Apt2B for farting in an airtight box and mailing it to him. Thanks everyone who congratulated me and sorry piscian. Lt. Awesome
You tie a note to it saying what you want to say. I always forgot to tie a note on the brick and had to find another unbroken window to do it again... Oh gawd, I laughed pretty hard. So, which idea are you going to take hippie? gordoscookin
First of all Congrats on getting married! How does it feel to be in the 3 rings of marriage(Engagement,Wedding,& Suffer)? To think we live so close, and not even an invite? Your friend should know that CASH is the preferred choice for gifting $. I say try all methods!
