fRacture
Step 1: Download TortoiseSVN. http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads After you install TortoiseSVN, restart your computer if necessary then continue. Step 2: Navigate to your Garry's Mod folder. Which can be found by going to Program Files > Steam > steamapps > Your Account Name > garrysmod > garrysmod Step 3: Go into your "addons" folder and create 3 new folders PHX, pewpew, and Wiremod. Step 4: Right click on your "Wiremod" folder and click "SVN Checkout". Step 5: Enter "https://wiremod.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wiremod/trunk/" into the address bar and click ok. ***If prompted for a username and password use anonsvn for username and anonsvn for password.*** Step 6: Once the download completes, move the following folders from "\garrysmod\addons\Wiremod" to "\garrysmod\addons" -wire -wire model pack 1 -Adv Duplicator Step 7: Right click on your PHX folder and click "SVN Checkout" and enter "https://phoenix-storms.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/phoenix-storms/" into the address bar. Then proceed to right click on your "pewpew" folder and click "SVN Checkout" and enter "http://divranspack.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ divranspack/PewPew/". Your addons folder should now have the same SVN folders as I do. Hobbes
You don't need the lua folder from wiremod, that's only there to tell people they installed it wrong if they leave it all in one folder.
fRacture
You don't need the lua folder from wiremod, that's only there to tell people they installed it wrong if they leave it all in one folder. I was debating on whether or not to taking it off, but I decided to leave it there since its better for the new people installing Wiremod if they see a message that they installed it correctly. K0killer2
It's not recommended to checkout to the addons folder because it causes GMod to lag more. If you were to do this I suggest making a folder on your desktop.

fRacture
well good job but the PHX folder is huge Very, which is why Soccer didn't want to do fast downloads for the Build server.

If you don't uninstall Tortoise after you do all this checkout shit and you leave it installed on your system it will lag, is it that hard to understand? I don't lag at all, and you need tortoise svn to update wire and a few other addons

Master
Here you go Fracture: You might ask why you should make the folders OUTSIDE of the addons folder and not just place them directly in the addons folder and skip the Exporting? This is because when you download an addon using SVN, it makes invsible files that contain information that SVN uses (for example for knowing which files you don't yet have when you Update an addon). These files are very small, but if you put them all together, they DOUBLE the size of the addon in question. And you know that the bigger your addons folder is, the more Gmod laggs and the longer it has to load. So, if you do an Export on SVN'd folders, SVN will copy that folder for you and clean it of the invisible folders, thus making your Gmod non-slowed down Here is where i got that: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=13583073 BTW: Look for your self there is a invisible folder in every folder.
