Tommo
I just brought left for dead 2 today. And i was wondering, which programs could you easily use with l4d2, to speak to each other? The thing i'm looking for is a open microphone kinda of program. I don't really see skype as an option. Neither ventrilo, unless you can create your own free server? i'll give cookies to people that help!
n1ckkkkk
Look what I found somewhere Free 100 man Ventrilo Server 1. First your going to want to download Ventrilo. Go to http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php and install it. 2. After installing Ventrilo, go to http://filebeam.com/996d3445f1ea40106809ab96bef541ac and download the crack for the server. 3. After extracting your crack.rar open ventrilosrv.cfg 4. You can change the server name, admin password, and channel to whatever you want to but DO NOT change the server port, max clients, or anything else. If you do, your server will not run at all. 5. Next save it, and run ventrilosrv.exe and cmd should come up saying your server status. 6. Leave this window open as this is what runs the server. 7. Time to test, open Ventrilo and go type the default port (127.0.0.1) into server channel join adn the port to 3784. And then Connect. 8. Now if you want others to conect to your vent server, go to your Router settings and port forward the port 3784 with UDP/TCP enabled. 9. Go to channel settings, type your IP address into your channel name and leave the port as 3784 and now anyone can connect. That's it! I hope you enjoyed my quick tutorial on how to make your own 100 slot free Ventrilo server!

Tommo
I just prefer open mics, when playing a game like l4d2. Then you dont have to focus on pressing the "talk" button
