CODE 43 Could not load driver

So when I rebooted my PC all these blue horizontal lines are running across my monitor. I go in to device manager and in my Nvidia driver's properties it says "Windows could not load this driver because it reported an error."

In game, (ie. Borderlands) everything runs smoothly for about 5 minutes, then the game gets all choppy and my control input lags 1 second behind. Possible overheating issues.

And this just started happening today.

So when I do a system restore to earlier today all the lines are gone. Everything seems to be fine. I'm not sure if the in-game lag is fixed but I'll test it.

So, is my graphics card fried? I've read somewhere that a BIOS update fixes it.

I have all the latest drivers, except for windows. It doesn't have SP1 installed. Is this the problem? Maybe the latest Nvidia drivers require SP1? I have no idea.

Specs:

Nvidia Geforce 9800gt

Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.40 GHz

Vista Home Premium 32-bit

3 gigs of RAM
