DeathVash
Ok I remember playing the old starcraft for the PC. I loved it. But I was curious is it a strategy game like the old one or a FPS or what? Can someone tell me is this really worth the hype or not (if I can get the POV of someone who played the old SC great). ttaM
It's an RTS, quite similar overall to Starcraft 1, but it's been over 10 years since the first game came out so obviously there are going to be changes along the way. I can't really give you a "learning curve" coming from BW to SC2 because everyone's different. The game itself has few problems, the single player is great in itself. Multiplayer isn't at it's full potential yet but that is Battle.net's fault and not the game. Leagues and divisions aren't completely worked out either, supposedly though after your first 50-100 games you will actually find you're being placed against other players in your skill level on the Ladder. Depending on what you played in BW, meaning UMS, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or Ladder the game will have a different experience for you. I personally don't like the new UMS style they've chosen because it's based mainly off of what Battle.net wants you to play and not a sorting menu like you saw in BW. I'm sure you can find videos on youtube that show you how the game is.
