Wingless
I'm thinking about a career change, and I wanted to talk to someone in the field before I dive into it. If we have any around, let me know plx.

Wingless
be a firefighter, we're cooler (= I guess it would make my smoking a little more ironic But yeah, if I do end up in any form of municipal or government work, it's going to be in enforcement. vandium
I too would like to get into law enforcement. I would love to work with the FBI. I am still debating on the path I would like to take. Because my thoughts on my job/career right now are, I am either making money or I love my job. (I havn't found one that encompasses both...yet) Spanish would be the first thing I would like to learn before getting in law enforcement though. Wingless
We have a rather high Spanish speaking population around here, and my Spanish isn't good enough anymore. It would get me a bump in pay. Too bad my broken Japanese isn't any good around here. I was going to go Fed, but considering my family is here, and so is a long term relationship, I've decided to somewhat root myself. Municipal Police Department seemed the logical way to go. eXoduS
be a bounty hunter. just dont be like D.O.G. with your shirt always buttoned up a quarter of the way. on a more helpful note, starting with any sort of active law enforcement job is honorable in my book. jobs like firefighters and police have demanding lifestyles and are not for everyone out there. just do your research and don't jump into anything you aren't sure of. i wish you the best of luck with your career search! keep us informed

It kinda ends your career. Poor, stupid DOG. But yeah, I have a few people on my list to talk to about the ins and outs of the business. Considering it will be a (slight) pay raise, I'll (obviously) have to leave the company I've been with for 3 years. On the plus side, it should give me something different to do every day, which is a major personal pitfall in what I'm doing at the moment. I can't graduate the academy until July anyway, so I have lots of time to think this through.
