blazedd Posted September 30, 2010 Share Posted September 30, 2010 I want to make a short 15 min or less short movie about Jailbreak. This will be both epic and dumb at the same time. I want to make the video that portrays a "movie style" jail break including schemes, planning, & shanking while it still includes the real server Jailbreak we all know and love complete with tarps, spamming, some games, and more. We need help with putting this all together on all sides. We need some skilled spectators with fraps (i have fraps, and I am ok spec), actors, and people to help come up with the story line. If you are intrested or want to contribute please reply. Do not post a if you want to say how dumb you think it is. I want to make this happen in the name of Hells Gamers. I have Final Cut and After Effects and I am good with both, film making/machinima is one of my hobbies lol. Also, if this is to actually happen a real script needs to happen. And the script needs to be read and reread and remade about 40 times in order to be funny. We need dedication, people willing to arrive in one place at a certain time no matter what. We need a director. We need voice actors as well as puppet masters (the people controlling the characters). We will need a server. We will need three computers powerful to run source recorder (fraps is ugly and bad, use source recorder on really powerful computers and those computers send the recorded files to the editor, and 3 are needed for 3 angles at all times). We need 5 or less MAIN characters, with all of the others background. If there are too many main characters the plot will become confusing and uninteresting. We need names for these characters. We need cooperation and leadership. We need a schedule. I am glad to offer all I know about film and machinima, but this will never get off the ground if it is just a bunch of random people on a forum saying yeah sure whatever, people need to know what they are getting into and they need to be DEDICATED to a project to see it from start to end. Scriptwriting will take a month AT LEAST. Filming WILL take 5+ days lasting at least (LEAST) 3 hours each day. Editing will be even worse. Alright, just be warned, I have tried to recruit a lot of people into projects on forums before and despite how good of friends I am on that website or whatever, they will still easily lose dedication. If people want to participate they need to really know what is going to happen and they have to accept it. And a just to let you know kind of thing for voice acting for anyone: Make sure you have a microphone that has a cover on it (some type of screen like the fuzzy stuff on most headphone mics) in order to cancel out most background noise. Download Audacity to record your lines if you do not have a program you like, export them as .wav or .mp3, and when recording your lines be sure to watch the volume readers (the green-red bars) and make sure you never max out into red. Do not keep the microphone close to your mouth but keep it a decent distance (at least a few inches) in order to avoid spit and putting sounds from your lips and mouth.
