What do you use for taking notes in school?

if it's an easy class and the prof only lectures via powerpoint...use your laptop and take notes on word..

if it's something like chemistry or math where you have to draw shit..use a notebook..

and to be better organized used post it tabs and sticky notes,

For work I use one of those pens that records whatever you write and then you can upload it to your computer and it switches it to text using Microsoft Word.

Forget these slackers, I use the good old paper n' pen tactic. Works great. If you get a cramp, take a rest and get the ones you missed from a classmate (after teacher is done, of course). If your school hands out laptops to the upper classmen, use your laptop for sure.

It understands, it just has some sort of system fail sometimes. It gets annoying when I'm writing a contract up and I'm like 80% finished and it fails. I'm happy when it forgets my taxes lol.

Like soliloquist said, it all depends on the subject your in and how well you like the class. I'm the exact opposite of soliloquist. I don't have to take any notes whatsoever in math class because I actually take an interest in math and like the challenge of solving complex problems/equations, but i couldn't pay attention in science class to save my life. Just bring a notebook and a pencil/pen with you into every class. Write the things down that you think you will actually need in the long run.

 

pros-The opportunity to write something important down is always right in front of you

cons-You get one hell of a cramp after about 20 mins of taking notes :/ (helps if your ambidextrous)

I'm surprised nobody has yet to mention thier brain. It's amazing what you can remember if you pay attention. Most standard classes in grade/high school have something called a "book", either given or purchased when taking a class. If the teacher is any good, 95% of thier lectures are in the book so you writing/typing notes and not reading the book chapters PRIOR to the teacher giving the lecture is a waste of time.

Pro- if the teacher asks a question, you should know the answer.

Con- it takes motivation.
