Just a list on how to not get hacked easily lmao,(I've never been hacked ;P) 1. The only official steam sites are http://www.steampowered.com/ and http://www.steamcommunity.com/ (That I know of. Not counting the Valve site(s)) 2. Don't download stuff that you know won't work but want to try. MMORPG "Cheats" that give you gold, items, skills, etc.. DON'T Work. They are either a Key logger, RAT, Virus, etc.. Even if you scan on every single anti virus doesn't mean a file is clean. There is something called "FUD" which stands for Fully Undetectable, basically it means no anti virus can pick it up. 3. Don't have ports open that aren't needed and make sure you know what you're doing before you open ANY ports. Ports are vulnerable. They can be exploited with packets that will allow access to your computer. That's all for now -.-''. DIAMELO Posted October 26, 2010 Share Posted October 26, 2010 Its easy to get your account back just go to steam and they ask for either a product code from one of your games in your account or the info from the credit card used to purchase the games thats what I had to do to get my old account back. Oh and remember do not try and guess the new password that the hijacker is using or try to switch the contact email because steam will see it as suspicious activity and will disable your account.
