Texas Holdem, Game of Skill or Game of Chance?

I've took up playing poker a while back, and Ive run into the apparently heated debate on weather Texas Hold-em is a game of chance, or a game of skill. High rank poker players argue that its a game of skill, governments and the IRS say game of chance (so they can get taxes )

 

Anyway whats your take on the matter?

It's both skill and chance. There's a chance you'll get your cards played right but it's skill to know when to fold or not or call bluffs.

Ive played at home games, casino's, and full tilt but just change ur style to suit the occasion

This is actually something I like

Its a mix of skill and chance

Someone bad can get good cards and still lose

While a good player can be dealt bad cards and still pull of a winning hand

some days you win some you lose, ive lost about $100 on pokerstars this month, but i won like a few hundred dollars a few months ago in a tourney

 

but it all depends, its how you play your cards, if you can read other players, its also knowing numbers like the chance you will get the card you need.
