xsniperx7
Hey guys, sometime around January (after Christmas break) I'm going to start playing WoW. I already have BC and WotLC bought, probably won't get Cataclysm unless I really get into it. I have some basic questions, What's a good race/class for a someone who has never played this game before? What should I do starting out? Should I be doing the simple beginners quests, or just get into leveling? I know we have a guild, but I have no idea what a guild actually does...? oh and, please add me on steam if you play/would bother playing with me and helping me get started... http://steamcommunity.com/id/xsniperx7 < is my steam page Thanks! Richie
Have you already bought time on the account or just the games? Cause if you have bought just the games and not "game time" on the account I can help you get started with blizzard's recruit a friend promotion. I have a pretty good understanding of the game and I can help you get started on the right track to being a pretty well rounded WoW player. I can fill you in on anything you really need to know. If you want to know more about my stuff hit me up on teamspeak or just pm me on the forums and we can get this ball rolling.

Jella
I'm somewhat new. I started like three weeks ago, I think. It's best to go the recruit-a-friend route. As for a race/class, who cares lol. Do what you want! You'll learn.

Stonewall
Just to start out I would suggest either Dwarf warrior or Paladin. If you decide to go Horde, may I definitely suggest Orc warrior. Easy classes to play and the experience will help you as you make your way into that game. Just some thoughts. Maybe I am wrong. I have an 80 Dwarf warrior that is easy and fun to play. Of course I stopped playing a year ago but that was for personal reasons. Just some thoughts.

dizyvipr
When I first played I just picked whatever I thought was fun. I started with a night elf druid, got into epic healz lmaaoo then I moved on from that poor, unused character to a bunch of other characters. IMO you should start off with whatever character YOU like best, and just go at it. Do a bunch of the 'beginner quests' and throw in some leveling at the same time. kill anything weak enough for you that gets in your way lol that's what i do. But one thing you should always do is play your own way I know a lot of people who keep trying to make me play their way because they believe that's the right way, but it all depends on the person.
