Comments: I checked the clan roster and didn't find his steam id. He may have been temporarily banned before for wearing the HG tags, I'm not sure. enigma# Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Sounds fair, has anyone asked him nicely to take off the tag or even encouraged him to apply? I don't think banning people because they don't know they cannot wear the tag if they are not in the clan. I would think it's a complete turn off to join as well if people are banning them for a reason they aren't told. Edit: It looks like he was banned once because of this issue (plus a disrespectful reason). I think the next time you see him (and if you still do), encourage him to apply instead! enigma# Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Try getting him to apply and if he doesn't want to, ask him nicely to take off his tag. If he is ignoring you, slap him to get his attention. If he still ignores you, slay or kick him (I'd suggest slaying him first). If he is still ignoring you, you may choose to kick him/temporarily ban him. If he reacts negatively to what you do/say, just tell him, since you're not a clan member to not wear the tag (nicely if possible!) and encourage him to apply if he would like to wear the tag. If he reacts further negatively, by all means, you can either temporarily ban him or kick him. This is how I would go about this issue. I think if he's repeatedly ignoring what you're saying, a longer ban might suffice to get him to think straight. I think this should be attempted first before we resort to banning people who wear our tags (but not in our clan) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
