I was wondering if the JB server could put into effect a no music spam rule, because I don't enjoy the music being played during wardays, freedays, and last requests. It gets annoying to have to mute someone and then unmute them right afterwards to just have to repeat the process all over again. It would be very nice to get some back-up on this, and if so actually get this rule put into effect.

if its being spammed, tell an admin. If they don't do anything, go bug a staff in TS to take care of it. Nobody should be spamming music if somebody doesn't want to hear it. also nice picture of jace.

There is actually already a rule in effect, it's just the fact that many of the offenders are admins themselves. >.<

4. Here's the deal with HLDJ. According to the MOTD, it's not allowed at all. HOWEVER, most admins will use discretion and allow it unless people complain or the server is lagging. Anyone that says music is allowed during freeday, wardays, LR or whatever is making up their own rules.

Let's put it this way, if you're spamming music to the point where people are complaining (both alive or dead). You should. Sometimes music is allowed if it's part of a game, or for instance. These threads should probably be clarified.

 

Second thing about music, if there are racist pejoratives or if it contains extremely distasteful lyrics, it should not be played at all. There are absolutely NO exceptions to this rule. You will be removed from the server if you're playing extremely distasteful music (that includes music with racist pejoratives).

 

Oh and by the way, this doesn't just apply to regular players, admins MUST abide by these rules as well. If you catch an admin (that is, with proof, by demo for instance) doing so, please feel free to let us know. Admins have a lot of benefits but they also must abide by admin and server rules.
