I dont care what people say (i know in England its not cool) i enjoy scouting and help at a local Cub pack (the 8 - 10.5 year olds). One of the things i need to do is to create some international relationships with other groups (preferably before im 18).

Therefore, i would like to know a few things

1) Have you been/Are you still an active member of Scouting?

2) What do you think of scouting as a hobby?

3) IF you are CURRENTLY a member of a scouting group, would you be interested in perhaps getting in contact with a group of Cubs?

4) Im going to a World Scout Jamboree at the end of July beginning of August. this is a huge event (40,000 Attendees) and costs about £2300 for me to attend. Some of this money goes to helping out the not so well off in countries such as Sierra Leone (or however its spelt). No, im not asking for money! However, i would like ideas as to how to raise a fair amount fairly quickly.

FYI, i would be prepared to wear (for instance) a hellsgamers t-shirt (if it was given to me free) at the jamboree for a small/large (whatever) sponsership. IE. i would give whoever/whatever some advertising.

Please give me your thoughts on the above :)

Thanks

Batters :)

You're paying 2300 to go shit in the woods with 40k people? I hope most of that is travel costs.

Those %-based donations are only there to make people feel better about the exorbitant price of the ticket. If people really cared, they'd go over there and get physically involved.

What you really need is a bag of good weed, a couple of mature friends, and some hiking boots. You'll sometimes need good footing in the heat of intimacy.
