CM and CWM ftw

I flashed the CM7 RC last night, and it pretty much makes me really happy. The only thing that confuses me is that I didn't get my account's app push since this is a fresh install, and for some reason, I can't play WMV encoded videos through the stock player like I could in CM 6. At least one of those probably has to do with some of the CM 6 features not being rolled into the 7 RC yet. Other than that, it's all kinds of cool.

I helped N1ckkkkk flash CM7 on his Eris. He was pretty excited when I got his phone rooted because he said he couldn't. CM7 is very nice, very smooth, even more smooth then CM6 imho.

If I remember correctly, you have the Nexus 1, correct? How is it on that device?

That would be me. It's been getting smoother and smoother as they keep rolling out code. The CM community has their stuff together. I've been running it for a day now, and I don't have any reason to roll back.

Indeed. How are you liking Gingerbread?

Android < iPhone

I'm hoping gingerbread is the shit, the upcoming android tablets for it look sweet.

Gingerbread (2.3) is for Mobile devices, Honeycomb(3.0) is what all of the newer tablets should be running. (Besides something as small as the Dell Streak 7 or Galaxy Tab.)

If you want to see more of Honeycomb check out the Motorola Xoom, as that is the only device released with that version of Android on it.

HC may not just be for tablets only, there's rumor that the build has some coding built in for phones.

Android sucks my nuts. I bought the Dell Streak, and I was looking at it on the couch. When I got up from the couch, I accidentally dropped it 2 feet off of the ground. And GUESS WHAT? It doesn't work anymore. It's a stupid piece of bull puckey and I HIGHLY advise that you DO NOT buy it. They even showed a video on YouTube about it, and that it doesn't break if you hit it with a hammer. Yeah, knowing the fact that if you drop it 2 feet and it breaks, but if you hit it with a freaking sledge hammer it doesn't do jack crap. Android sucked balls then, and it sucks balls now. Shortly after, I bought the iPhone. It's freaking amazing, and has tons of more features and apps. It's incredibly faster and better than the Android, and now I'm happy :D

P.S. The iPhone is the only good thing that Apple made.

You realize Android is the operating system, and not the hardware, right?

The Dell Streak has been advised by many tech reviewers to NOT buy it, even since the release...

Clearly you didn't research the device before you bought it. You most likely saw the screen + Android OS and jizzed all over the At&t rep.

Do some research before you buy an Android device next time bri, it'll do some wonders.
