fox*
Alright first and for most, the high school graduation test is next week......I have been to the in-school review sessions on each subject besides English (cause that's way to easy). Right now I am so stressed out.....everyone tells me that the test is easy, and "what is there to stress about?" sayings. For me I will be the only one in my family to graduate high school. It's a common thing in the state of Georgia to not have a Diploma (joking). I will be the first in the family to go into college, for me I'm the baby of the household and everything means to me. If anyone here in HG has ever taken the graduation test before, please tell me what it is like and what I should expect. Mainly want the people who actually live in Ga to help me out, but everyone can pitch in. this year we are taking the test on the computer and NOT on paper.....so that's something new to me. Sorry for posting a tl;dr thread but this is fucking stressing me the hell out and got my head spinning. I keep thinking about what happens if I fail, I wanna try and stay positive but it's harder than it looks. Oh right I almost forgot, we get to have 6 try's at passing.....why am I worried? cause 35 seniors still haven't passed the test.....(to be honest, most of them are the ones who do bad things, most of them anyway) Please I need your help guys! After the teachers told us the test is written on a 8th grade basis, I feel retarded. Edited March 17, 2011 by fox*
msaber
I'm taking mine all of this week they are going pretty well for me. Stress isn't always a bad thing dude our tests are basically comprehending the question itself and not about what you have learned Good Luck! Mush
Those grad test are pretty simple. I'm from alabama so idk how different ours are. I had trouble with math but everything else was super easy. Thing was I was able to take them my 10th grade year.
fox*
this is how they do it at my school, 4 test days 1. math 3-21-11 2. English 3-22-11 3. Science 3-23-11 4. Social Studies 3-24-11 They are based on a grade scale, 200 and above is passing. Anything below that is failing. I herd that the test has 60 questions or so and you have 2 hours to take it. At our school History and science is the hardest, for me in my 9th-10th grade year I made A's in those classes and in Science I made intermediate grades of 85 or higher. Ellivlok23
well you say its computerized. I suggest bringing Calculator, Paper and writing utensil regardless. With the math portion just write out your equations as you need and when the test starts write down as many of the formulas as you remember to make it easier on urself. I have to do the same thing kinda only my test is a Nocti, I have to do a bunch of electronics stuff and im following these same ideas. I wish you the best of Luck and just have a good breakfast and try to be as relaxed as possible while being functional.
FEBRUARY
Donnie said he took it and it's easy. So if it's easy for donnie, you should be confident in yourself. Here in mass we only have to take 3 years of History and Science, and we don't have to take an exit exam for those two courses.
