Runda20
If I wanted to make a video of a FPS game or something like Minecraft what should I use other than Fraps and HyperCam 2 because they both suck... Please help
Plaayer
Fraps is the best game recorder out there, IMO. You could use Camtasia, which is somewhat similar to both. If you're looking to stream live, use Adobe Media Live Encoder with a desktop recorder, e.g. Camtasia. I would ask BigJ on Steam about the live streaming, he seems to have the hang of things. Tommo
There is a much easier way to record in-game footage into .avi files in several different formats using a free plugin and the source engine alone. Record a demo as normal: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Demo_Recording_Tools Then follow these steps, paying particular attention to step 7. http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Demo_Video_Creation This should work in all source games and allows you to take a demo (.dem) and turn it into a movie (.avi) that you can upload straight to youtube, etc. Hope this helps. He wants to record Minecraft. So .demo's cannot be recorded
