Nevodka
Recently posted a ban request of a spammer which I recorded about 30 minutes ago, seems the demo's audio cuts out after a few seconds and spams the error: WARNING: cl_flushentitypack, update delta not found This error is usually caused whenever there is an update to the engine or the game itself, and i'm a bit confused as to why i'm receiving this error when the demo was recorded 30 minutes prior, where no updates have occurred since then. Here's the demo for reference: http://zhost.hellsgamers.com/u/s0/tyler.dem
enigma#
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1386783" data-cite="\"http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1386783" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43504" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"> Many people come in this forum expecting a solution to a broken demo, usually ending up with a console spam of "Update Delta Not Found" or "ERROR: demo network protocol 7 outdated". Whenever there is an update to the engine or the game itself, older demos will either become completely unplayable, giving you the networ protocol error, or will play but with visual problems, resulting in the spam of the update delta error. Unfortunately, there is no going back or fixing those errors. It's just the way it is and will be for the foreseeable future. Valve has updated the engine in such a way to make older demos playable, but sometimes end up in with visual side effects. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1386783 As per Steam forums
Nevodka
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1386783 As per Steam forums Thanks, already had stumbled across that . Was just wondering if anyone had a different explanation since the demo was recorded and watched in a timespan of no source engine updates.
