Ever since the end of BC, Blizz has been making all the tanking classes a like just so people won't complain as much about other classes being inferior tanks. I personally liked it better when bears stacked health, paladins stacked block, and warriors were a nice in between class. It offered a different style of play for each character. Now Blizz is stuck with producing gimmicky moves for all the classes in an attempt to give them at least an ounce of uniqueness. Rationality: I always liked my warrior. F34rTheV3n0m Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Pallies are the #1 tanks in cataclysm. They have multiple dmg reduction abilities as well as raid wide dmg reduction. They can heal themselves and others if needed and they can hold aggro the best. I main a DW Frost DK and if my raid tank isnt a pally, then i pull threat easy. Blizzard really loves DK, they just buffed them this patch too. My order of tanks are Pally < DK < Druid < Warrior Warrior is last because there lack of ability of keeping threat and cause blizzard nerfed vigilance. ace.ml Posted April 29, 2011 Share Posted April 29, 2011 I have been tanking with my paladin ever since I started WoW and I never had a problem as long as you keep Righteous Fury up you really wont ever lose aggro if you make sure to keep attacking. DKs just suck period. i feel like even in cata they're still op and draw way too much aggro. tough to heal the over-pulls. and dks think they can do it just because they're dks. Warriors, pallies and DKs are the best tanks in the game so far as of Cataclysm. All of those have dmg reduction abilities as of now. BluHorse Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 just finished getting my druid his tanking set, I've tanked with half of the classes that can tank and i've healed a ton of them on my druid. To tank AS i'd have to go with dk>paly(again the needless PvE nerf of WoG otherwise they'd be #1)>druid>warrior assuming all 359 gear. A druid tank in all 359 gear should be having his dodge at about 37% and should be getting a big shield to absorb with. However all people are not in 359 gear so i'd have to say that its really a toss up on the classes. However healing is a totally different story. As a DRUID healer my preference of tank is dk>>>>>warrior/paly>druid. That is my preference. TL;DR IMO to tank as dk>paly>druid>warrior IMO to heal dk>>>>>paly/warrior>druid Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Blizz is spending so much time making it easy for noobs that at this point no one has to really earn anything. Most of it is just handed over to them. Not to mention that I didnt like all the damn nerfs they were tossing at my warrior at the time. But at that time Druid was the number one tank and warrior was number two... Don't quote me on this, but blizzard believes that ret paly's should be using templar's verdict or whatever the move is that deals damage based on your holy power (the one gained from specing INTO ret) thats why it got nerfed. Besides WoG was OP as HELL. Watched our main tank, a paly in almost full 359, solo slabhide.
