Dynasty789 Posted May 5, 2011 Share Posted May 5, 2011 so im running win 7 64bit on my desktop and when i start it up it says desk check failed so i prop wont be on gmod untill sunday :/ if anyone can help me that would be great i think its my hardrive or somthing. If you are still having this problem I would suggest using your original Windows start up CD and use the system check/repair/whatever its called function. enigma# Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 run an elevated prompt (cmd.exe) type sfc /scannow this will run an integrity scan of your OS files as well run a disk scan on the HDD itself, you will need to reboot to actually scan it as windows has a file lock on the hard-drive you can also do this through cmd.exe (make sure it is elevated) chkdsk C: /x /r Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
