ShinoPuppy
Hey. I am embarassed to say a made a goof a few minutes ago. I was attempting to ban a player over a seriously raunchy porn spray (he'd ignored my last 5 warnings), and thanks to a rather annoying menu glitch (see below), I accidently banned the player one below him on the list. Is there a way for me to reverse this accidental ban or something? Often when I'm navigating the admin menu, it goes one back (8. Previous) or selects option (4.) due to a lag spike (this happens fequently) and I end up selecting the wrong option. This is the first time it's resulted in major damage though. Hopefully I can apologize to him once this is fixed. Help me fix this mistake? -Shino Puppy Player information: <Aah, crap, the console scrolled too far, can't access the player info. It was the US Office Deathmath server around midnight EDT>
JessicaJoy
Instead of using the admin menu ..you can always type the name out ie: !ban Jessica 30 "UberBitch" !ban (Commond) Jessica (Person's Name) 30 (length of ban in minutes) "UberBitch" (Reason for ban)

I hate it though when some idiot has a name with all those stupid alt+ letters in it where you have to do status on them and ban by their #. Rawzz
Shino, next time grab the info as soon as you make the mistake and post in this forum and a staff member will fix your mistake. (Usually pretty promptly too!) Also, a lot of people seem to be confused as how to ban by ID, so here's a quick little tut: 1. Type status in console 2. Find the person's name. Directly left of that, there will be a # (ex: #715). 3. Now instead of using their name, use that number (including the "#") in your command. (ex: !slay #715) Hope this helps. ShinoPuppy
thanks all. I didn't know about the !ban method (wasn't in the instructions anyways), gonna try to use that in the future. And for the record, the person I was trying to ban had gotten PLENTY of warnings. Problem was I kicked the wrong person. >_< And selected the longest (1 wk?) option to boot. Definitely gonna be more careful with the admin menu in the future. Oh, one other thing... the sm_ console commands don't seem to work for me. The only one that seems to respond is sm_admin, the rest don't do shit.
