GIR--_
I have two main questions here! Did I do something wrong? I have been an admin for Office NTF for 2-3 years now. I would like to say I have been pretty good But anyways, I always use "@@@ message" to alert CT's about hostages and it's a very simple message. " lyds: hostages " If they don't move towards the destination, then comes the two or three slaps, then a slay. SO today while I was enjoying my lag in Office, staff member Crosshair joins the server. I type in "@@@ hostages" and he instantly replies "lyds don't be csaying that shit". I ask very sincerely, "what is the difference?" in a manner that I want to know what is the difference from using the text box versus the csay. I use csay to let the people actually see the message because some people to don't pay attention to the textbox. anyways, he then tells me "just don't be doing that shit". and again, I ask "Why not? Is it in the rules or are you just using your authority?" and he says "i'm not gonna warn you again". While I was in the middle of explaining myself, he kicks me and the message reads "Disconnect: told you not to argue". SO my question here is, Did I do something wrong? If so, please tell me what the guidelines are since I have not been here awhile. Things may have changed. My concern and complaint here is that Crosshair never gave me an explanation on WHY I shouldn't use "csay". If he would have, I would definitely not be doing it again and this whole situation would have never happened. Just the fact that he kicked me (regardless of who I am - veteran, HT, etc.) is very unreasonable due to the fact he had no explanation and this is a prime example of admin abuse and power hunger. Second question is, why are we having people like THIS (Crosshair) as leadership in a clan or community that once was so great and still has so much potential in being one of the best in the online-gaming world? Best to you guys. If this continues, I certainly won't be around as often as I hoped to be. I hope somebody understands where I am coming from. /cry <3 Lyds

I told you why. It's a form of ghosting. Don't be giving away the CT's location.
bort
Lyds, good to see you again. I will attempt to resolve this as quickly as possible. (1) Lyds, please don't use csay like that because what crosshair says is true: it is a form of ghosting. (2) Crosshair, you should have been more lenient before kicking. All she wanted was an explanation. There was no disrespect. Please no further replies. Thread closed.
bort
Correction: I am now told by several Office NTF regulars that it is customary for admins to remind players not to camp and to do the objective, especially within the last minute of the round. Lyds did nothing wrong. HOWEVER, Crosshair thought that it was alerting the T's that the CT's already had the hostages. Maybe Lyds typed it too late; we'll never know.
