Update delta not found. is spammed 10 times per second in console and in the top right hand corner it says WARNING: CL_FlushEntityPacket, Update delta not found. http://zhost.hellsgamers.com/u/dk/2011-06-24_00008.jpg Example of a partially broken demo (broken at about Tick @16000+): http://zhost.hellsgamers.com/u/2q/demo_7.dem The gameplay is then speed-up a lot, you can't hear people on mics, see smoke grenades that have gone off and sometimes you can't even see other players. Overall, it means I can only use screenshots as proof and I'm finding that a pain in my ass :/ Does this happen with anyone else or is it just me? Whenever there is an update to the engine or the game itself, older demos will either become completely unplayable, giving you the networ protocol error, or will play but with visual problems, resulting in the spam of the update delta error. Unfortunately, there is no going back or fixing those errors. It's just the way it is and will be for the foreseeable future. I can understand older demos experiencing these problems but 99% of my demos that are taken after the update? That's just annoying. btw, I get a 404 Not Found error when I try to go to that Steam link, I think you may have copied it wrong lol. Angel Posted June 24, 2011 Author Share Posted June 24, 2011 I've updated my CS:S with the latest update (grrrr) and Verified Integrity of Game Cache and Defragmented Cache Files. I took 3 demos while on the GunGame server (even though the mod is broken) and they're not broken at all which is great. I think I'll wait til the Jailbreak and Minigames servers are updated before saying this is fixed because the demos I was recording were from those servers. Artillery Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 This is an issue that myself and other members have had in the past with demos. It is more or less a corruption of the demo after you finish recording. Sometimes they also get damaged during an upload if you're filing a ban report. It can also happen due to demos not being backwards compatible with previous versions of your game after an update.
