Runda20
I got Win 7 "anti-virus" and I stopped the scan it ran becuase I hadnt seen it. I attempted to open internet explorer and look it up and it said that it was blocked and IE was a virus. So I had managed to remove it after 10-20 minutes of messing with it, and I would like ot know how can I make sure it is gone for good? Thank you! Artillery
Well the best way to make sure would be to use something like an actual virus scan. Something like Nod 32, Kaspersky or even Spybot S&D for malware such as that. Here's a link to Spybot S&D if you want http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Angel
If you really want to make sure the virus is gone off of your computer, backup your files and format your hard drive. Even if your anti-virus software says it's been removed/disabled whatever, it is never fully gone as there are always traces left behind, even if they're not enabled/activated/etc. Formatting is the easiest solution to gets rid of viruses, it works for me every time
Plaayer
You can try the completely free anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials, assuming that you have a legit version of Windows. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security_essentials/default.aspx
