HeyAlex
Even with my new PC... that runs GTA IV on Highest detail on 30 FPS.. Runs Gmod on LOWEST graphics.. On 20fps.. and also it has lots of "Lerp:100ms" in yellow.. which means high delay i think.. I dont get it.. I really dont..I got nothing els to compare gmod to,GTA IV is the strongest game I ever knew.. it runs IV on highest and gmod at lowest, and IV runs smoother and faster and better then gmod.. Please tell me what to do to fix this Highdelay/FPS drops/BlackScreens on gmod Edit: SPEC: CPU: Intel core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66ghz Video card:Nvidia Geforce 9500GT Somthing 500W RAM:4GB(2048x2) Windows 7 What do i need to do?? Darkwing Duck
You have a very old card. That card is about 4 years old. As far as your CPU goes, that is also an old cpu, the core 2 quads run much hotter and are not as efficient at quad-core rendering as the older "i-series" or the new sandy bridges. The best advice I can give you is make sure your rates are set and your graphics drives are updated to the latest ones.
enigma#
Depending on the server settings, you can adjust your lerp. cl_interp n (n < 1, keep it around 0.03, this equates to 33 ms). Right now you're at 0.1, which is at 100 ms. In Game Settings Resolution: Keep your resolution matching to your desktop resolution (native resolution). Display Mode: Full screen, unless you want to be able to alt-tab. However, it does take a performance toll. Aspect Ratio: Don't worry about that. Most screens are 16:9 however, older LCD panels you'll see them in 16:10. Common resolutions: 1680x1050 (16:10), 1280x1024 (4:3)... To get your aspect ratio, divide them (Width by Height) Here are the results you should be getting: 16:9 = 1.7777777777777777777777777777777777777777777 16:10 = 1.6 4:3 = 1.25 Adjust Brightness Level: up to you. Direct X levels also impact performance on older video cards. Although the 9500 GT is a DX10 compliant card, I'd suggest lowering it if you're still having problems. -dxlevel 90 -dxlevel 81 Either this one -dxlevel 80 or this one -dxlevel 70 -dxlevel 60 Check your graphics control panel and watch for a few things... Make sure you go for "High performance or Performance" Try this config out listed. It's meant for TF2 but it seems to work well with Gmod. PLEASE back up your config before overwriting it as not fun having to revert your settings. http://www.noobonicplague.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8230
